We only alter our dogs, if there is a medical reason to do it. Usually it is ONLY happens at adult age. I generally do not believe in benefits of this surgery other then making dog more convenient for his owner. And I definitely wouldn't recommend to do it in early age. I would say in general I wouldn't recommend to do it before dog is 6-7 month old.
