Mid-winter news and updates.

Well now... time is going quickly, things are changing rapidly...

We are in February now...

What do You know of February 14?

Hearts and candies, right?...

Not only that. This year it is only Thee Day

when our favorite Breed will be shown at

Thee Most prestigious dog show in USA -

Westminster Kennel Club show in NYC.

Our "Diva" - Lusha was supposed to be a part of this show,

but Nature had different opinion and Miss Diva came in season...

Not the best, nor easiest way to be shown.

Therefore we had to drop whole idea and getting ready

for spring performance events instead.

Barn Hunt is calling her name and we need more "legs" in Agility.

And her Grand Championship campaign has to be finalized too.

So no Westminster for Lusha... not this time.

Now... meet our newest addition - Gypsy Rose "Rosie".

Finally in our family came to live with us another Standard Schnauzer.

Last one I had 20 years ago, but always knew -

it will be another right day and...

So this day has come. Rosie is here to stay, 

thank You to our wonderful friend Shawne Imler!

Awwa's twins got an addition to their living-room.

They also got bunch of new toys and learning to eat

on their own. We found out - those two are not big on meats,

but love their dairy!...  At list for now.

 Awwa  continue to be Mrs Perfection 

and gracefully fulfilling her motherly duty.

She is to go back to show ring at fall of 2017.

Only 5 more points to go to get her Championship.

Spring is not that far and girls are starting to come in season

one after another.Hopefully we are going to have

several beautiful litters later this spring.

Currently Tutta was bred to Timmy for her last litter.

Puppies expected to be born sometime in March.

Availability - end of May/beginning of June.

It will be Black/Silver litter with no other color options.

Gina and Gigi are going to be bred in February as well.

Gina is going to have another Black/Silver litter

and Gigi is going to have Salt/Pepper litter.

Litters should be born in April, available in June.

We still discussing their breeding partners.

Later at spring Ziva will be bred to Timmy

for another litter of black and Black/Silver puppies.

Availability - first part of summer.

It will be very busy time, I can tell right now...

Perhaps it will be lesser of blogging too.

So far I have more free time I'll try to do more posts...

But then - who knows.

Manya and Tory are 3 weeks old!

 Girls are modeling for us together with Amelia.

Amelia is the French-born bear, who came to live with us this summer.

She was originally from Toulouse,

 but I talked her into coming with me in USA.

She makes good Nanny for the girls!

Dealing with all that food is so exhausting!

Good things, bad things...

Unfortunately how some of You know already litter from Elly didn't happen... Not everything is nice and simple every time when it comes to delivery... not at all.

But thankfully Elly is alright and doesn't even realize her litter is gone...

Instead she is totally sure it is all Awwa's fault. Awwa should be the one who took her puppies

(regardless of fact Awwa's two girls are two weeks old now.) 

Luckily for Elly Awwa doesn't care what Elly thinks, so her furry butt is safe...

It wouldn't be the first time when Momma Dog suddenly decided that other Momma's puppies should belong to her... And not always their negotiations between those two are peaceful...

Now about that Awwa and her little girls.

Girls are in fact anything, but "little".

Yesterday they turned to be two weeks old and now have their eyes open

wide on big World around. Awwa has tons om milk and those two are huge and fat.

Awwa loves them and taking great care of both, but she is not one of those crazy Moms

who will not step away from their litter. Instead she feeds them , clean them up

and asking to go check other things out...

Mainly to find out what is going on on kitchen, of course.

Bright eyes and bushy everything else...

They have big future ahead, but they care less,

so far there is a milk and warm pace to sleep.

One of my very favorite articles what I had to share with You, guys... as I couldn't write it any better.

What Is A Breeder ©1986 is a gentle, prideful reminder of why we do what we do and the people who inspire and enable us - reprint permission freely granted.

WHAT IS A BREEDER?

Webster's gives us some interesting definitions: "To nourish, cherish...to generate, engender...to cause, to occasion...to bring up, to nurse and foster," and more to the point, "to produce by special selection of parents or progenitors."
Anyone who puts two animals together for the purpose of producing young does "generate, engender, cause, or occasion" the propagation of that species or breed. Most breeders, thankfully, "nourish, cherish, bring up, nurse, and foster."
Ahh, but here's the rub: Only a handful of persons involved in the production of companion animals can be said to "produce by special selection of parents or progenitors." A Breeder (with a capital "B") is one who thirsts for knowledge but never knows it all, one who wrestles with decisions of conscience, convenience, and commitment.

A Breeder is one who sacrifices personal interests, finances, time, friendships, fancy furniture, and deep pile carpeting. A breeder gives up dreams of a long, luxurious cruise in favor of turning that all-important specialty show into this year's vacation.

The Breeder goes without sleep (but never without coffee) while watching anxiously over the birth process, and afterwards, every little sneeze, wiggle, or cry. The Dog Breeder skips dinner parties because a litter is due or the puppies have to be fed at eight. He or she disregards birth fluids and puts mouth to mouth to save a gasping newborn, literally blowing life into a tiny, helpless creature that may be the culmination of a lifetime of dreams.

A Breeder's lap is a marvelous place where generations of proud and noble champions once snoozed. A Dog Breeder's hands are strong and firm and often soiled but ever so gentle and sensitive to the thrust of a puppy's nose. A Breeder's knees are usually arthritic from stooping, bending, and lifting puppies but are strong enough to enable the Breeder to show the “keeper” in Sweeps!

A Breeder's shoulders are stooped and often heaped with abuse from competitors but they're wide enough to support the weight of a thousand defeats and frustrations. A breeder's arms are always able to wield a mop, support an armful of puppies, or lend a helping hand to a newcomer.

A Breeder's ears are wondrous things, strangely shaped (from being pressed against a phone receiver), deaf to criticism yet always fine-tuned to the whimper of a sick pup. A Breeder's eyes are blurred from pedigree research and sometimes blind to his own dog's shortcomings, but they are ever so keen to the competition's faults and are always, always searching for the perfect specimen.

A Breeder's brain is foggy on faces, but recalls pedigrees faster than an IBM. It's so full of knowledge that sometimes it blows a fuse. It catalogs thousands of good fronts, hocky rears, and perfect heads... and buries in the soul the failures and the ones that didn't turn out.

The Breeder's heart is often broken but it beats strongly with hope everlasting - and it's always in the right place!

Oh yes, there are breeders, and then, there are Breeders.

Mrs Awwa enjoying her time with children!

They are 3 days old and more likely it is the last time we will see them with tails.

Puppies are growing rapidly and looking very healthy and happy.

We can not dream of anything better.

It is official now!

Lusha is an "official AKC Agility dog"!

With her first award recorded.

Best of all - she started really like the game and looking to please.

Yes, it is all game to her, not work and she is enjoying it just as much as we do...

perhaps even more.

Still due to the weather all our future trials are not before the spring.
