Little Red Vagon...

Kenya's girls are 5 weeks old by now and every morning
(so far it is not peak of heat)
they go for the walk on our back yard.
They are very cautious about those walks yet, but starting to like it.
In a few days their "follow me" instinct will kick in
and they will start following their Mom (human or dog) any places she goes.
What will make things easier and walks - longer and more entertaining.
So far our morning "outings" are being a simple introduction
 to the BIG "whatever-is-out-there".
Photo above is from our yesterday' "outing"

"I do not do morning!..." or "More adventures with Rally-O".

I can clearly say: "Our Lusha is really NOT a morning dog."
In fact two things what she likes the most in her life is to sleep
(preferably with her human Mom) and to eat.
Therefore every time we have a morning trial, we starting to wander....
IS Thee Queen awake enough?
and
Will be her Majesty up to THAT?...
"That" is whatever we need her to do.
In fact sometimes it is getting very dramatic and humans
have to be sneaking around and whispering to each other:
"Be quiet! Lusha is still sleeping!"

On other hand Gigi, Lusha's cousin, is a simple girl.
She is always ready to play, especially if treats are involved.
On a first weekend of July both girls went with Irina
on Rally trial. For Gigi it was her first one and she managed
to get two Q's (Qualification scores) at Rally Novice.
Quinn woke up on her good side and not only got two Qs,
but also won first  place in Rally Excellent.
Good sleep matters!

5 sisters! ( Kenya and Timmy liter). 4 weeks old.

Last 3 weeks I spend at some place beautiful, but other then my home...
It was long-planned and much waited trip to South of France.
Of course I was daily in touch with family and (thank You to moder technology!)
even had a way to see everybody, including my dogs.
I also had opportunity to see those little beauties growing,
and when I finally came back home home I had a feeling like I never left a house,
but just had a wonderful dream.
Oh well, that was time for art, now it is time for my dogs
and I love both.

Kenya's little girls turned out to be exclusively independent
and quickly developing. They were only 4 weeks, but already started acting
as "dogs". Getting places, investigating their involvement,
exploring things in their surrounding
(under supervision of course!)
On picture above - Jumani (front), Rita and Mae.

Above - Rita. She got her Daddy's face!

Left to right - Jumani and Mae.

Gretchen. looking like her Mom, but a bit lighter.

Mae. Totally adorable!

Ghita. She is probably my personal favorite...
If I can make any favorites here!

And one more shot of Rita and Jumani.
Love them all!

"Pearl litter" is 3 weeks old

Our Pearl litter is 3 weeks old.
Babies' eyes are open, ears are open, too. I love the moment when they start open eyes  , it is always very special and touching moment .
They start to walk on their legs , moving away from mom bravely,   and have an addition to their nest now with newspaper covered part - it is time to start potty training.
Kenya is a wonderful mother , taking care of her little ones gently and enjoying being with them. She started , however, spend longer and longer time out of nest box .
No need to supplemental feeding for pups yet - mom has plenty of milk , babies are keeping good weight and  are not hungry. We will start introducing yogurt very soon as their first "real food" .
They did not find their voices yet  -  that's , probably , a good thing :-) . But one was growling today when I clip their nails.
We are done with both early programs - ENS  (Early Neurological Stimulation ) and ESI ( Early Scent Introduction) .  As for this moment 42 different scents were introduced .Scent introduction will continue in a bit different manner now to keep babies adopted to different scents they will be exposed to in real life.
Same with sounds .Puppy place is right in the middle of our living area ,connected with kitchen, so puppies are getting familiar with all typical household sounds. To other sounds they are introduced by recorded sounds - of natures, of animals, different people voices, music, sounds of cars and trains, sounds of  crowd of people , farm , city etc.
Basic of clicker training starts now ,too.
Grooming part - nail are done every 5 days. Puppies are rather enjoying nail grinder light sound , they are very relaxed in my hands when we do nails.  They are introduced to hair clipper sound and vibration, though real part of  grooming with clipper took few seconds - just to make one smooth clipping cut of hair from their little butts, for hygienic purpose , and extra few seconds to run a a comb through their coat.  Ones daily we also spend  a minute near running water - as a groomer, I know a lot of dogs who flipping out when they hear water running , so we are trying to prevent this unfortunate and needless stress for our pups .

And -here they are!

Spring show series.

This spring we started something totally new,
what we never have done before...
We brought back to the ring our Sammy-
CH Shazzam Of Oz Something Else
to be shown for her Grand Champion title.

Sammy is a veteran bitch 7 years old and had several litters,
but she is still as beautiful, as she was in her prime years.
In a few short weeks Sammy picked up 9 points
toward her Grand Championship.
Most importantly - she truly enjoys it!

Lusha - Shazzam Of Oz Tactical Solution
is also back to the show ring.
She will pick up rest of her single points during next few weeks
and then go for her majors sometime second part of summer.
June I'll be dedicating to my art related events,
so dogs will be playing with Rally classes,
but it will be no conformation events.

Above - Sammy in Owner Handled Terrier Group ring, Timonium MD.

Current litters... Gina's and Ziva's babies.

Long time no updates... I know - me bad.
I make no excuses, just a fact that spring is very busy time.
Regardless of all, I have all intentions to post some updates this night, so here it goes...

Gina's spring litter, born April 4.

Above - two boys. Below - two ladies.
All looking great. Of course everybody is reserved.
It is a good thing... we have enough puppies to raise for this season...
I think...

Ziva's litter, born April 22.

Boys - above and girl below. Everybody is reserved us well.
They are wonderful and I hope to post some more photos sometime when I have
that very time...
