Sky x Roy puppies, 2 weeks.

Eyes are open! I always waiting for this moment, and my heart skips a beat when I see a glance through their not completely open yet eyelids and know it will be shortly now when we can look at each other. 

We do take some pictures of puppies to capture this awesome step-stone time.

Today was last day of ENS and ECI programs for these little ones. Everybody's favorite scent in ECI was Clove -  it was active and long interaction and following the scent from every puppy and it was exciting to see ,as Clove  is used as one of scents in AKC Scent work trials. Surprisingly , another one is Cypress, and -  all pups  but dark boy  loved to smell a little branch of it.

Desensitization for vibration of nail grinder also was in program last week. Nail care is a big deal in dogs life, and starting it in right time and correctly is important.

 

Few days late with announcement of  very exciting litter born. Roy X Sky babies are finally here. DOB 1/24/202. I will post later about why this litter is so special. So far just want to share our joy with you all.

Healthy ,active, pretty big at birth weight puppies - the first boy was 9.5 oz at birth , Mom Sky had to work  really hard to bring him into this world. Other 4 came quick and easy - they seems could not wait to get out and were not happy with their brother taking his time.:-) But ,hey, in his defense - it is not always easy to be the first to take a step in unknown. Here he is.

By now I can add they all are pretty active,  1 boy and 1 b/s girl being the calmest , another boy somewhat calm ,and s/p and small b/s girl being the squirmiest. :-)

ESI - favorite smell so far is cinnamon-  big boy was neutral to it , small b/s girl did not want to interact with it and turned her nose away(  she did not want to with with other scents we offer so far), but 3 other pups were very interested to smell  ,following it ,and we let them do it for whole 30 seconds.

I can't get enough watching these babies !

As the reason progresses....

As the season progresses, I'm looking back on what we have done this year

together with our four-legged partners... 

it was our second year of owner-handled experience and what a big step it was!

With limited showing, as I dedicated big part of summer

to my painting adventures in both - United States and Europe, by November 2016

we accumulated total of 70 conformation points on several our dogs.

Major part of this job was done by Lusha - Shazzam Of Oz Tactical Solution.

Not only she competed her AKC Championship, but also earn Rally Excellent

working title and well on a way to become AKC Grand Champion of record.

By the latest AKC GR CH points ranking report for the State of PA.
CH Shazzam Of Oz Tactical Solution (Lusha) has position #4 AND

she is top not handled by professional handler Min Schnauzer in State AND

she is the only Min Schnauzer competing for her Grand Championship,

who has working titles on her as well. Go Lusha!

Shazzam Of Oz Just a Joy of Adamis (Gigi) recited her first

AKC Rally title and looking for more!

Shazzam Of Oz Triple Crown (Roy) started competing in Rally Excellent.

Shazzam Of Oz Enchanter (Chant) moved to Rally Advance!

All above mentioned personalities also started in Agility,

but not ready to compete just yet.

All, but Lusha, who got to try her first 3 runs, but so far without the Qs.

The year is not over, more could be done, but winter is coming,

things are calming down and this is how it always suppose to be.

I'm looking forward to winter - time to re-charge,

re-think and get ready for another year full of adventures.

We also planning several outstanding litters closer to the spring time...

Montgomery County All Terrier working trial 2016.

 This year our dogs went on a road trip to be a part of 

Montgomery County All Terrier working trial 2016.

"Are we there yet?.."

 So what this event is about?

Nothing much. :-) Simply bunch of working terriers and their parents

from all over North America getting together to have some fun

and compete in various disciplines from Obedience and Agility

to Barn Hunt and Lure Coursing.

Full week filled with adventures.

This year we only participated one day and it was only one Rally trial.

But it was 4 dogs, with 4 Qs, 3 placements and two finished Titles.

Not bad for one trial!

This wonderful lady came up with the most complicated and fun

Rally maps we ever saw... Never-less,

Lusha (left) managed to get top in the class score of 96
and finished her Rally Excellent Title.
Gigi (left) got her last "leg" and completed her Rally Novice Title.
Chant got first leg in Rally advance with score of 98
and third placement in his division.
Roy was a real trooper to go to the ring first,
and regardless of all destructions, got his first qualifying score
for the Excellent level.
He also got third placement in his class, same like Chant.
We met many old friends, saw many beautiful (and very smart!) dogs
 and came back home feeling accomplished.
On Sunday to the conformation show we go!..
This is "THEE SHOW" of the Year,
what everybody terrier lover looking forward too.
Over 100 miniature schnauzers signed up to compete in 2016
in regular rings and sweepstakes.
Hope to return from there with even more ribbons...

Neeta Nee Dog Show.

 In mid-July Jim and I went to Neeta-Nee Kennel Club dog show.
It held in Centre Hall (Central PA) and this time of the year IT IS HOT!
But fun part about it was - we camped at the show grounds
side-by side with our friends and their schnauzers
and had wonderful time regardless of heat.
Beside of temperature, weather was beautiful, I walked the dogs
and couldn't resist to take some pictures in the morning with all the flowers.
Sure those are weeds, but so pretty!
Our show stars this time were Roy - above
and Awwa (below, left) with Gigi (below right).

 Girls totally enjoyed themselves.
Roy was trying to explain me that Mrs Gigi came in season
and it should have to do something with him...
I told him "NO! We are here to work."

 Evenings were on a cooler side, we had a picnic outside of our camper
and schnauzers joined us.

First day of show... Can not complain!

Roy went Best of Breed, Awwa got reserve winner bitch.

Gigi did well too, considering her situation.

 Next day went better yet. Roy got a Breed again,
Awwa got winner bitch and Gigi got reserve.
I opted NOT to go for the groups, as it was way too hot
and dogs already worked hard.
Instead we just wrapped up our stuff and went home to AC.
Soon we got our show pictures!

We all about baked, but we had the job done!
6 points on two dogs over two days show weekend... Happy!

Had some time today to do the photoshoot and video while playing with puppies.

All went well, but uploading. Neither Y-tube or blogger were cooperating.

Frankly I do NOT like all those new changes Google made lately with all it's accounts.

Do  not try to fix something what is not broken.

Oh well... Those are only technical issues.

I finally have this small clip up and running (only took me about 3 hours to put it on).

 Maybe tomorrow I can do more... or nothing.

Meanwhile - enjoy!

Brrrrrrr!... It is too much of snow!

"Winter is coming.... The entire thing.

All at once. In one weekend."

Actually it is exactly what we got here.

Our average snow-fall for the winter considered to be 30,6".

We got 30,2" over about 24 hours period.

What does it mean?...

It mean that even to let our dogs out, we had to dig out area for them to walk.

Not to mention many other fact... very impressive..

Sort of funny. Pretty exhausting.

 Dogs really do not care much what owners have to dig.

This is Lusha's outlook at all this snow situation.

"I'm sleeping on it!"

 On other hand Elly's puppies are anything BUT sleeping.

They are playing a lot. Walking/talking and luckily for them

have no idea what snow is about.

and ended up with puppy socializing situation.

Our little guys from Elly and Roy are two weeks old now 

and finally have their eyes open!...'What a wonderful gift

for this magical night!..

Of course this little miracle resulted into some new photoshoot.

Enjoy! They are precious.

As far as we know both little ladies

do not have any names yet, unlikely their brother Winston!

But they all are sold and will go to their new homes

in February of upcoming 2016.

Elly x Roy 2016 litter.

 Elly and Roy' 2015 litter just arrived on December 15.

Irina and I went to do little "baby-shopping" and returned with some

super cute fabric to use for this photoshoot.

Naturally now You can tell who is who...

Above - flying with little white sheep is our baby-boy.

He is Black and Silver and he already has a family waiting for him.

Below, surrounded by flowers, are two our young ladies...

They are Salt/Pepper color.

One of those two is sold as well and the other one

is in the process of to be spoken for...

We still looking for the right family to give her a new home...

Congratulations to new puppy owners!

3 more titles!

 This Friday we attended one more Rally trial. 

This time it was at Bella Vista training center.

Our first time at that facility and we LOVED it!

Result - 3 more qualification scores and 3 more finished titles.

Lusha and Roy got their Rally Advance titles,

while Chant finished his Rally-Novice.

 Here they all are together with Irina, who handled 2 out of 3.

Roy got second high score in the class( Red Rosette)

and Lusha scored on the third place (Yellow Rosette).

 

Of course now Lusha has it all, as a queen she is!

After we finished with both advanced class dogs, 

Irina took out Enchanter and I took out my camera,

so now we have this video of them two performing...

... and this was our last performance trial for the year...

Now we can practice and wait what the spring will bring to us!...
